Features of the state of personal motivation is one of the topics of the training course “Motivation of Behaviour and Learning.” This course is an elective and is typically taken by psychology students majoring in Educational Psychology.

The state of motivationness has not yet been empirically studied, so this course introduces the concept of “learning by inquiry,” where students simultaneously explore the phenomenon of motivation and acquire self-motivation skills.

Learning through inquiry is implemented in this topic through data analysis, reflective tasks, self-reflection, scientific discussions, group work and research tasks. The curriculum for this subject includes 4 lessons, one of which consists of independently completing an interpersonal task to analyse the student’s consciousness.

A positive result of students mastering the topic should be their knowledge of the indicators of the state of motivation and the demonstrated ability to bring themselves into a state of demotivation in order to complete a specific educational task.
